Vehicle Roof Mounted Hoists for Manual Wheelchairs

The roof mounted hoist system is a powered automated loading/unloading and stowage of a foldable manual wheelchair weighing up to 25 kg. The loading process takes about 30 seconds controlled by a hand-held pendant. The stowage compartment is fully waterproof. The wheelchair can be deployment to either the driver or passenger side. The car roof needs to be able to support the 55 kg weight of the hoist, plus the weight of the wheelchair.
