Motability Scheme - Vehicles Adaptations

If you are in receipt of higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of PIP you are eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you will be able to lease a new car or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) through the Motability Scheme every 5 years.

All Motability vehicles are supplied through your accredited car dealer. Your car dealer will help you to choose a make and model of car that fits your needs, and take care of the ordering and delivery process of the Adaptations as well specifying Capitol Mobility as the installer.

Capitol Mobility experts can give you advice and guidance to which type of Vehicle Adaptations are suitable and can be fitted to your proposed vehicle. We work with most car dealerships so when you have chosen your car and before it is ordered we will complete any personalised Adaptations for you before you take ownership ensuring a smooth handover from your dealer. You know you’ll be in safe hands; we are proud to be a member of the British Healthcare Trade Association (BHTA), who have a code of practice recognised and accredited by Trading Standards (TSI) and we are Motability Accredited.
